Dr. Chui, PT, PhD coauthors a document for the Academy of Geriatric Physical Therapy

Dr. Kevin Chui contributed to an Academy of Geriatric Physical Therapy document, “Essential Competencies in the Care of Older Adults at the Completion of a Physical Therapist Postprofessional Program of Study.” This document was written by a taskforce consisting of clinicians, researchers, and educators. Their work, along with comments from the public, vested stakeholders, and experts in the field led to the final document, which can be used as a curricular guide for geriatric residency programs. The purpose of this document is to identify the knowledge, skills, and behaviors essential of a graduate of a post-professional program of study in geriatric physical therapy.
