Dr. Hilliard Completes Fellowship in Education Leadership

Please join the Physical Therapy Program in congratulating Dr. Jeremy Hilliard on recently completing the American Physical Therapy Association  Fellowship in Education Leadership, formerly called the Education Leadership Institute (ELI) Fellowship. This year-long fellowship helps participants develop the skills and resources needed to be an innovative and influential leader.  As the Chair of the Northwest Intermountain Consortium, President-Elect of APTA-Oregon, and the Director of Clinical Education for our PT Program, Dr. Hilliard has many opportunities to apply his leadership skills.

Dr. Hilliard shared the following thoughts: “This fellowship was one of the most challenging and rewarding learning experiences in my professional life. Though challenging, the extensive readings, reflection activities, and deep dive into institutional understanding really helped me develop my self-understanding as a leader in academia. Beyond my personal development and learning, I developed relationships with colleagues who I would otherwise not have known. I highly endorse this fellowship for anyone pursuing (or considering) academic leadership.

Furthermore, I would be remiss if I did not acknowledge Pacific University for supporting me in this pursuit and my Program Director, Dr. Kevin Chui, for mentoring me throughout the fellowship. This fellowship would not have been possible without either of them.”
