While students gorge themselves on sweet treats such as caramel apples and pumpkin pie over the spooky Halloween weekend, Outdoor Pursuits also has a few sweet treats lined up in the weeks before Thanksgiving! Indoor rock climbing, greenland paddle building, and a create-your-own day trip are just some of the activities awaiting students. 
Kaiser Permanente-sponsored flu shot clinics will be on the Hillsboro and Forest Grove campuses in October. Flu shot clinics are open to faculty and staff employees and their covered family members 9 years and older. Children under 18 must have parental consent.
In lieu of the annual in-person Health and Benefits Fairs, there will be a virtual Benefits and Wellness Fair for faculty and staff from Tuesday, Oct. 26 to Friday, Oct. 29!
Study Abroad
The Office of International Programs is preparing to send students abroad in the fall of 2022 or spring of 2023, and winter or summer 2022. Students need to make an appointment to review the internal application, which has a deadline of Feb.10, 2022. Don't miss this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to travel to Latin America, Europe, and other exciting locations around the globe! 
Far Away, a play by Caryl Churchill, comes to Pacific as the fall 2021 theater production. The play asks the toughest questions we're grappling with now: how our actions affect others near and far. What are we choosing to ignore? And have we made the environment irreversibly unlivable? And yet, because of the magic of Churchill’s imagery and language — and because it has the quality of a fable — we don’t want to look away.
The Pacific Undergraduate Research Conference is returning to an in-person format this fall on Nov. 10. For many presenters, these research projects will become the basis of their senior capstone project. Pacific is the No. 1 private research university in the Pacific Northwest, and as such, has a reputation for mentoring its undergraduate students especially in the areas of scientific and creative research.
