Emily Liska MSAT '21 has been named a 2021 Athletic Training Academic Honoree by the Pacific University School of Physical Therapy & Athletic Training.

The award recognizes extraordinary academic performance in the master of science in athletic training program.

“Emily has almost limitless potential and has demonstrated outstanding abilities both academically and clinically,” said Program Director Jeffrey Kawaguchi.

Liska, who is from Bend, Ore., is among six May 2021 graduates named Academic Honorees. Others include Johanna Wilson '20, MSAT '21, Kevin Attard MSAT '21, Trevor Hunt MSAT '21, Jamie Leonetti MSAT '21, and Caylie Shiramizu MSAT '21.

Pacific’s master’s program prepares students for certification and licensure as athletic trainers, healthcare professionals who work with physicians to prevent and diagnose injury, and treat and rehabilitate acute and chronic issues that would impair or limit their patients’ activity.
