Information About Online Training Courses for Employees

Dear Faculty and Staff,

Earlier today you may have received a message with the subject title "Pacific University Online Training" from "donotreply@lawroom.com."

Please be assured that this message IS legitimate, and is not a scam attempt to obtain your university login credentials or otherwise obtain sensitive personal information.

The letter was inadvertently sent in advance of an introduction to the university’s new online training program administered by the Office of Human Resources and Legal Affairs. The university sincerely apologizes for inconveniences and concerns you may have experienced by not receiving this introduction in advance of the invitation.

Last fall, the university implemented this online training program for all enrolled students. Customized courses will provide both Pacific students and employees with information and training to ensure the university complies with federal regulations. The courses are innovative, engaging and informative, and provide opportunities for employees to reflect on a variety of workplace scenarios.

Per the invitation you received this morning, the first training course using the LawRoom program is titled "Intersections: Preventing Discrimination and Harassment." You can take the course at your own pace, and are asked to complete it no later than Aug. 31, 2017.

We again express our apologies for any inconveniences and concerns you may have experienced by not receiving advance notice of this invitation. If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact Human Resources director Kris Kosik at kris.kosik@pacificu.edu. Thank you very much for all you do on behalf of the university and its students.
