Jason Nguyen '18, PharmD '21: ASHP-SSHP Outgoing Officer Award from the School of Pharmacy

Jason Nguyen '18, PharmD '21 received the ASHP-SSHP Outgoing Officer Award from the Pacific University School of Pharmacy.

The award recognizes an outgoing ASHP-SSHP Student Chapter officer for sustained commitment to promoting membership in local, state, and national health-system organizations, stimulating interest in health-system pharmacy careers and encouraging career development and professionalism among students aspiring to careers in health-system pharmacy.

Nguyen was nominated because he is a thoughtful leader who is able to navigate difficult, interpersonal relationships and conflicts with insight and grace.

Nguyen graduated in 2018 with a bachelor’s degree in environmental science and in May 2021 with a doctor of pharmacy degree.

The Pacific University School of Pharmacy offers a three-year path to a doctor of pharmacy degree that prepares students to earn licensure to work in patient care. The school also offers a master of science in pharmaceutical sciences focused on research.
