A Jubilant Day

The Pacific University Chamber Singers got together — virtually — over the summer to perform A Jubilant Day.

The piece, by composer Judy Rose, had been in the Music Department's elite performance choir’s repertoire since Fall 2019. When the COVID-19 pandemic forced a temporary closure of Pacific’s campuses in Spring 2020, and an ongoing hiatus of in-person performances, students coordinated to share clips of themselves singing the piece from around the country.

It’s just one way that Pacific students and faculty are continuing their connections and education amid challenging times.

Pacific theatre and dance students also are performing in streamed online productions this fall.
