Matt Binkerd MAT '97 Named Warsaw (Ind.) High School Athletic Director

Matt Binkerd MAT '97 was appointed athletic director at Warsaw (Ind.) Community High School this summer.

Binkerd, who grew up in Hillsboro, Ore., was a pole vaulter and, for one year, a football player at the University of Oregon. He received his masters degree in education from Pacific's program in Eugene in 1997. He then was hired as track coach and social studies teacher at Elmira High School in Veneta, Ore., then moved on to take coaching roles in Springfield, Ore., and Eugene, Ore.

He and his wife moved to Indiana to take job at Warsaw Community HS.
