In Memoriam: Russell Lende '59, OD '60

Russell Lende '59, OD '60 died on Oct. 20, 2019 at age 81. After graduating from Pacific, Lende and his wife moved to Seaside, Ore., where he started his 43-year optometry practice. He served 11 years on the Seaside School District 10 Board, and was also a founding member of the Seaside Parks and Recreation Board. In his free time, Lende could be found restoring cars. 

Lende is survived by wife, Patricia; brother, Merton; two sons, Russell and John; four grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
