A Message from President Hallick

Dear Faculty and Staff,

I wish you a wonderful Thanksgiving among family and friends, and safe travels wherever they may take you. I am very thankful for your hard work on behalf of our students. You are what make Pacific University a truly special place.

As you may know, we have celebrated the December holiday season in years past with a gathering, most recently an evening dinner gala. This event to celebrate your hard work began as a luncheon and, over the years, also took the form of a series of teas prior to becoming a dinner gala in recent years. I am pleased to report that this year, despite a need to control the expenses of all of our events, we will again enjoy the season together in the form a Boxer Holiday Breakfast.

The breakfast was recommended by the Staff Senate as a way for all employees to celebrate together at all our locations.

It will be held at both the Forest Grove and Hillsboro campuses on Thursday, Dec. 11 from 7:30 to 9:30 a.m.

  • Forest Grove Campus: The Grove inside the University Center
  • Hillsboro Campus: Sara Hopkins-Powell Atrium of Building 2

Additionally, Staff Senate is working with the Eugene, Woodburn, Portland, Beaverton and Hawai’i locations to ensure they are also able to celebrate at their locations at a time that is convenient for employees based at those respective campuses and offices. Further details for all locations will be published on the MyPacific Faculty & Staff page the week of Dec. 1.

I encourage you to enjoy fellowship with one another to reflect on a very successful year filled with growth and progress. Thank you again for all you do to ensure our students the best possible environment to learn and grow.

Warmest regards,

Lesley M. Hallick, PhD
President
