PA Director Davis-Risen Promoted to Full Professor

Saje Davis-Risen PA ‘06, director of the Pacific University School of Physician Assistant Studies, has been promoted to full professor.

Davis-Risen, an alumna of Pacific’s PA program, has been with the school since 2011 and served as director since 2022. 

She previously practiced in pediatrics in a tribal health facility, emergency medicine in a critical assess hospital, and neurosurgery in a level 2 trauma center, as well as in urgent care and rural family practice. 

At Pacific, she has served in many roles and now teaches in her areas of passion, PA professional policy and advocacy, Justice, Equity, Diversity and Inclusion, and global health, as well as in her professional area of expertise in sexual health and surgery. 

She has served the College of Health Professions as associate dean of Interprofessional Education, and her scholarship is centered in interprofessional education, and justice, equity, and inclusion with global health lens. 

The non-tenure promotion in rank for faculty members is granted upon recommendation by college personnel committees and approval by the University Personnel Committee president.
