Pacific Mourns the Passing of Eva Krebs

It is with deep sadness that we share the passing of Eva Krebs, our Vice President of Student Affairs and Dean of Students.

Eva died Thursday afternoon in hospice care, with her husband, Rick, at her side. She fought a long and courageous battle with cancer. While we mourn the loss of her in our lives, we may take comfort that she is at peace.

Eva was a beloved member of the Pacific University community and a champion for our students. She was instrumental in transforming our support structures for students’ needs outside the classroom. Our students always came first, in her work and in her heart.

It was Eva’s request that we not hold a memorial service, but we do invite you to share your memories and reflections of Eva’s life and her work at Pacific. Thoughts can be sent to Ingrid Unterseher (untersei@pacificu.edu). We will share these in various ways over the next few weeks.

Lesley M. Hallick,
President

A complete obituary and opportunity to share condolences also is available through Duyck & VanDeHey Funeral Home.
