Pacific Professor Nancy Ann Neudauer Honored by Mathematical Association of America

NeudauerPacific University's Nancy Ann Neudauer, the university's Thomas and Joyce Holce Professor of Science, was awarded the Mathematical Association of America's 2021 Certificate of Meritorious Service. 

"I am surprised, delighted, and honored to be nominated for this award by my colleagues in the Pacific Northwest section," Neudauer said. "And I am humbled to be amongst those who have won the award." 

Neudauer was honored along with six other math professors from around the country. 

She has traveled repeatedly to Africa and South America to teach graduate-level mathematics to students hoping to study abroad. Her efforts have received funding from the Fulbright program and the Simons Foundation

She has published many papers, including many on matroids and lattice chains. She is a former governor of the Pacific Northwest section of the MAA.
