Pacific University Summer Commencement Takes Place on Saturday
Pacific University will hold its summer commencement exercises for several programs within its College of Health Professions at 9:30 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 8 on the east lawn adjacent to Marsh Hall at the Forest Grove Campus. Admission is free and open to the public.
Students of the college's two newest programs - audiology and health science - will be the first graduates of the respective programs.
The School of Audiology will present its inaugural cohort of 18 students for a doctor of audiology degree, and the School of Healthcare Administration and Leadership will present 10 candidates for a bachelor of health science degree, Pacific's first online-only program.
Additionally, 19 candidates for a master's degree in healthcare administration are expected to take part on Saturday, as well as students from the schools of Dental Hygiene, Occupational Therapy, Physician Assistant Studies and Professional Psychology.
Thirty candidates for a bachelor's degree in dental hygiene will be joined by 36 doctor of occupational therapy degree candidates, 46 master of physician assistant studies students, 44 doctor of clinical psychology candidates, 30 master of counseling psychology students and 20 master of clinical psychology degree candidates.
Pacific University's College of Health Professions is located in Hillsboro's Health & Education District and consists of the schools of Audiology, Dental Hygiene, Healthcare Administration & Leadership, Occupational Therapy, Pharmacy, Physician Assistant Studies, Physical Therapy and Professional Psychology.
