Pharmacy Professor Dr. Nicola Carter Awarded Tenure
Dr. Nicola Carter has been promoted to associate professor in Pacific University's School of Pharmacy and awarded indefinite tenure.
She has been an editor or editorial board member for the journals Pathogens and Biology, a grant reviewer for the National Institutes of Health and for the Swiss National Science Foundation, and has twice been named pharmacy teacher of the year by the American Association of Colleges of Pharmacy.
She received her bachelor's degree in biochemistry and biology from Keele University in the U.K. in 1988 and her PhD in Biochemistry from the London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine, UK in 1995. Before joining Pacific's School of Pharmacy, Carter was a research assistant professor at Oregon Health & Science University.
