Rev. Dr. Chuck Currie Travels to the Middle East for Interfaith Study

Pacific University chaplain and Center for Peace and Spirituality director Rev. Dr. Chuck Currie has traveled to the Middle East this week to partake in an interfaith study tour organized by the Center for Jewish, Christian and Islamic Studies at Chicago Theological Seminary. Currie earned his doctorate in public theology from the seminary last year.

“This trip will serve an important purpose,” he said. “Discussions and learnings there, in addition to other research I've been doing this fall, will help inform the development of a new class I plan to teach at Pacific on the conflict in Israel - Palestine.”
Currie is posting updates to his personal blog, and he encourages comments to his updates. His views and observations do not necessarily reflect the positions of Pacific University.
