Looking for drop-in opportunities?  Join Student Counseling Center staff for pop-up crafting events and regular tabling in both Forest Grove and Hillsboro this semester. No registration needed for crafting pop-ups or tabling, check out the university calendar for details!

 

February

Effective and Engaged Learning. Thursday, February 13th @ 4-5PM- Zoom

-Review strategies to help improve procrastination, time management, focus, memory, and decision-making.

 

Anxiety Toolbox. Monday, February 17th @ 4-5PM- Zoom

-This workshop will help you understand what anxiety is, explore thoughts and behaviors that impact anxiety and develop strategies to better cope with anxiety.

 

No Shame Pledge. Tuesday, February 18th @ Noon-1PM- Forest Grove, Boxer Pause

-Explore the linkages between mental health, addiction and recovery. This stigma-reduction focused workshop ends with participants joining a national public health campaign by signing their own No Shame Pledge.

 

Question, Persuade and Refer (QPR) Suicide Prevention Training. Thursday, February 20th @ 5-6PM- Zoom

-This training teaches participants to recognize the warning signs, clues, and suicidal communication of people in trouble and gain skills to act and help save a life.

 

March

Social Media and Mental Health. Wednesday, March 5th @ 12PM - Forest Grove, Marsh 101

-Explore the intersections between mental health and social media.  Learn about strategies to cultivate health social media use and develop skills to interpret mental health social media trends.

 

Question, Persuade and Refer (QPR) Suicide Prevention Training. Tuesday, March 18th @ Noon-1PM- Hillsboro, HPC2 150

-This training teaches participants to recognize the warning signs, clues, and suicidal communication of people in trouble and gain skills to act and help save a life.

 

April

Recovery Allyship. Tuesday, April 8th @ 12-1PM- Hillsboro, HPC2 160 and Zoom (Hybrid)

-Do you want to expand your ability to support people experiencing mental health  and/or substance use concerns?  Adapted from the SAFE Project, this training provides a dive into the intersections of mental health, addiction and recovery.
