Step in Her Shoes at Pacific University on Friday, Sept. 26

FOREST GROVE — Pacific University’s Center for Gender Equity invited men to take a stand against assault and domestic abuse by wearing three-inch heels. View news coverage at Pacific University men hit the quad in pumps to take a stand against domestic violence.

On Friday, Sept. 26 from 5 to 8 p.m. in the university quad between Walter and McCormick halls on the Forest Grove Campus, 75 men ran, jumped, danced and strutted in an entertaining obstacle course that puts men in women's shoes to bring attention to the issue of domestic violence.

Step in Her Shoes allowed teams to compete for funds they donated to a nonprofit organization of their choice that deals with domestic abuse. Food, music, games and events complemented the obstacle course competition.
