The meal is served in the University Center from 4:30 to 6 p.m. and consists of traditional staples kalua pig, chicken long rice, teriyaki chicken, poi, haupia, coconut cake and punch.
The show is presented in the Stoller Center at 6:30 p.m., with doors opening at 5:30.
Ticket prices range from $20 to $39, depending on seating and dinner choice. A $2.50 surcharge is added to each ticket purchased.
The Lū‘au is a collaborative effort of Pacific students, including NHOH members, faculty, staff, local community members, businesses and family members residing in Hawai‘i. Many students’ parents come from the Islands a week in advance to make leis and put together decorations.
The event annually sells out and the public is strongly encouraged to purchase tickets in advance.
