Tickets for Pacific University's 59th Annual Lū`au On Sale Beginning Tuesday, March 5
Tickets for Pacific University's 59th annual Lū`au are now available for online advance purchase.
Presented by Pacific's Hawai‘i Club, Nā Haumāna `O Hawai`i, the 2019 Lū`au takes place Saturday, April 13 on Pacific's Forest Grove Campus and is considered by many to be one of Washington County's signature events.
Festivities begin at 4:30 p.m. with an authentic Lū'au meal featuring traditional staples kalua pig, chicken long rice, teriyaki chicken, poi, haupia, coconut cake and punch. A spectacular show, led and performed entirely by Pacific students, will follow at 6:30 p.m. and includes traditional Polynesian dances, music and other entertainment.
Admission prices range from $29 to $40, depending on seating and dinner choice. Additional discounts are available for children, seniors, and Pacific community members. Advance purchase will be available online at pacificu.edu/LuauTix starting March 5. Tickets are not available at the door.
The Lū`au is a large collaborative effort of Pacific students, including more than 300 NHOH members, as well as their parents and family members, university faculty and staff, and other local community members.
Students from Hawai‘i comprise about 14 percent of the undergraduate student body at Pacific. The NHOH student club began in 1959 and is open to anyone interested in learning more about the Hawai‘i culture.
The Lū‘au is the primary a fundraiser for NHOH activities and community service events. For more information, please visit pacificu.edu/luau.
