Touch the Future Hawaii Winter 2019

This past winter break was the first time I was able to speak as a recent alumni and new physical therapist. We provided high school students with the opportunity to learn about the physical therapy profession and to work with other healthcare professionals to solve problems. I was also able to discuss working as a physical therapist in pediatrics and more specifically in a school setting, which is a practice area that none of them have heard about. It is amazing to see physical therapy students from all three years of our program continue to participate in Touch the Future Hawaii and inspire a mix of middle school, high school, and college students to become the next generation of healthcare professionals.
