Welcome Bon Appétit's New Executive Chef

Bon Appétit welcomes Christian Salama, executive chef, as the newest member of its team.

Salama was born and raised in Des Moines, Iowa. He is a first-generation American from a proud Egyptian family. His mom, aunt, and grandmother are incredible cooks, whichimage.png influenced his love for food from a young age. 

He attended culinary school in Colorado, and spent a month in France working in Provence. When he returned to the U.S., Salama moved to Las Vegas and continued his culinary training at the MGM and Mesa Grill in Caesars Palace. 

After having two wonderful children, he and his family moved to Portland, Ore., where he started working with Bon Appétit. After 12 years with the company, Salama couldn’t be more proud to work for a company that supports sustainability, farm fresh products and the earth as a whole.
