Present a Diploma to a Family Member at Commencement
Make a special day even more special! Pacific University employees can bestow a family member's diploma on stage during May’s Commencement ceremony. Simply contact Karla Staihar in the President’s Office and attend a rehearsal before the big day!
Sabbatical projects and leave are recommended by college personnel committees and deans and approved by the president. 
This competitive award program honors the contributions made by Dr. Gabelnick during her term as president of Pacific by providing up to $1,000 for projects or programs designed to engage students and faculty in the pursuit of community service and altruism.
Save the date for in-person and virtual World Café sessions. This is your best opportunity to provide your input for Pacific University’s strategic plan. Sessions will be available in Hillsboro on May 9, Forest Grove on May 10, and virtually on May 11. Employees also will receive a survey for additional input.

Athletics is hosting its first Junior Boxer All-Sports Camp in June! This summer camp is for children entering first through eighth grade. Campers will get an opportunity to experience a wide variety of sports led by Pacific's own coaching staff and student-athletes.

Spanish-speaking people who have a problem curbing their impulses to gamble may soon benefit from a more culturally customized app being developed by Leo Bobadilla, a professor in Pacific University’s Graduate School of Psychology.

Nonfiction writer Kao Kalia Yang and poet Shara McCallum, both of whom teach in Pacific University’s low-residency Master of Fine Arts in Writing program, each have been awarded 2023 Guggenheim Foundation Fellowships.
