News, Media and Stories | Pharmacy

It is my pleasure to share that our Research Fellow, Mehrdad Alavi (PharmD '18, MS '18), received an ASPET Mentoring Network award. Every year, the American Society for Pharmacology and Experimental Therapeutics (ASPET) grants the ASPET Mentoring Network award to a select number of postdoctoral scientists/trainees to join the ASPET Mentoring Network program.
One way the School of Pharmacy aims to build interest in its programs is to invite high school students to the Hillsboro Campus for a day. Recently, a science class from Portland's Cleveland High School paid a visit.

After earning his doctor of pharmacy from Pacific, Peter Agbo PharmD '09 went on to receive a master of public health and a doctor of medicine degree. Today, he spends most of his time at the hospital where he works. But he's also founded a nonprofit organization and takes fellow healthcare providers back home to West Africa annually to serve those without access to healthcare.
