First-year seminar students paint the spirit bench in honor of veterans. 
Harley Kelley '55 came to Pacific to study journalism, but left with a pre-med major. A surgeon, Kelley was drafted into Vietnam and later returned to the Army after a career in private practice. Today, he volunteers his medical skills in his community and volunteers with World War II veterans on the Honor Flight.
PCH Clinics in Hillsboro and Portland have partnered with the National University of Natural Medicine to provide a full range of integrative primary care services, including western and natural medicine as well as complementary care.

Name change reflects expansions in the school to include a variety of programs, including the PhD program in clinical psychology and the MS program in applied psychological science.
"My artistic impulse is to let the beauty of the real world shine into the realm of mathematical patterns. My method combines photographs with complex-valued functions in the plane to create images with all possible types of symmetry: Euclidean, hyperbolic, and spherical symmetries (as these act on the plane). For some works, I then transfer plane images back to the sphere.”
