"`ohana: family. This does not exclusively pertain to blood relations. In Hawaiian culture there are several layers of family. There is a strong sense of community among the people. " (Folkvine.com)
Pacific University is a welcoming and diverse learning community dedicated to creating personal learning opportunities for our students. Though our campuses are in Oregon, we have shared a close relationship with Hawai‘i for several decades. About one in five of our incoming freshman students are from Hawai‘i, and more than 6 percent of our nearly 28,000 alumni live in Hawai‘i. Our students and alumni — and their families — are all part of our Boxer 'Ohana.
In January 2013, we took that relationship a step farther by opening our office in Honolulu. With a dedicated location and staff in Hawai‘i, our 'ohana grows by connecting with and supporting even more prospective and current students, family, friends and alumni.
