2017 Summer Student Housing

Summer housing is available to current undergraduate Pacific University students enrolled in Spring 2017 and/or Fall 2017 who are looking to live on campus for the summer. Summer housing operation is now run by Conference and Event Support Services (previously by the Housing Office).

  • May 21 - August 13

Application

Submission deadline: Friday, April 28 by 5 p.m. to the Conference and Event Support Services Office (located in Rogers Building - next to the Milky Way).

Notification of room assignments as well as details for check-in and check-out will begin on May 10th, via Pacific email.

Location/Assignment Criteria

Summer Housing will be located on the fourth floor of Cascade Hall. There are limited of rooms available, once they are filled Summer Housing registration will be closed. Assignments will be issued based on certain criteria with preference given to students who are staying the entire summer, have a Fall 2017 housing assignment, have no outstanding or extensive conduct history, and date the application is received.

Cost/Services

  • Entire summer | $900
  • Partial summer rate | $100 per week (minimum of 2 weeks)*

Summer Housing rates are offered at a discount. Housing and Residence Life services are limited during the summer.

Students assigned to Summer Housing who are paying summer rent, will have their student accounts charged for summer rent. If a student has a department on campus paying rent for them, the student needs to be sure that the department contacts the Business Office to make payment towards the student's account.

*Exception to the minimum of four weeks maybe made for academic reasons only.

Special Housing Accommodations

To be considered for special housing accommodations for Summer Housing all required medical documentation must be sent to the LSS office no later than Friday, April 22 at 5 p.m. Email lss@pacificu.edu.

Cancellations

No Summer Housing cancelations will be accepted after Friday, May 19 at noon. A $25 cancelation fee will be applied to the student account for all cancelations received prior to Friday, May 19 at noon.

Check In and Out

All summer residents must check in on Sunday, May 21 between noon to 3 p.m.

All summer residents must check out no later than Sunday, August 13 between noon to 3 p.m. Students with University housing for Fall 2017 will transition to their fall assignment and enjoy two complimentary weeks from August 13-27.

Details for check in and out of Summer Housing will be emailed via Pacific email with room assignment starting on May 10th.
