Administration of Grants
After a grant has been awarded, the Office of Corporate and Foundation Relations (CFR) notifies the appropriate dean and program director, the grant accountant, the academic department and the principal investigator about the reporting requirements. CFR’s grants database generates reminders which are then forwarded to the faculty PI or project lead. It is the responsibility of this individual to draft the required financial and narrative reports. See the Proposal Development Process for more information.
In most cases, the CFR will work closely with the faculty PI or project lead to draft financial, interim and final reports and provide the assistance necessary to meet the reporting deadlines. For all institutional proposals, CFR will draft interim and final reports.
The Office of Corporate and Foundation Relations also tracks institutional relationships with funders by carefully monitoring grants and working directly with faculty. For instance, it is imperative you inform the office of any communications about grant activities you may have with program officers and funders, as this information can be useful in the development of future proposals and will ensure the good will of Pacific’s benefactors.
