Internet Guidelines

The university website is pacificu.edu.

All university-related web content resides at this site, and all pages sit on the university server.

Though Marketing & Communications oversees the overall operation of the website, each office, department, college, school, program, center or institute is responsible for maintaining its own content using the university framework.

Web Content Management

To request access for a representative from your office to edit webpages, contact webteam@pacificu.edu. Training is required for all new editors. Training will cover web standards, tools and processes.

Additional resources, such as a formatting guide, tips for writing for the website, and other resources, are available under Internet & Online Communications. Web editors also will receive regular communication about website updates, training or resources via email.

Forms

Online forms allow you to capture information from your audience while also maintaining Pacific’s commitment to sustainability.

Creating and managing forms is easy, since the software captures all the user-submitted information and organizes it into export-able files. In many cases, online forms can completely replace the need to print and mail forms.

If you are interested in using an online form for university business, please contact webteam@pacificu.edu to get information about the recommended software and integration into the university website. Please note, this software is not HIPAA compliant and is not to be used for healthcare records.

Social Media

Pacific University maintains university-wide accounts on several social media platforms, such as Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Pinterest, etc. These channels are available via icons at the bottom of this page.

Programs interested in their own social media accounts can submit an account request to Marketing & Communications.

Social media requires sustainable resources and knowledge. Prior to establishing an account, Marketing & Communications staff will help you assess your strategy, interaction, monitoring and metrics for using social media for business purposes. Find more information under Social Media.
