Diplomas

Students receive their diploma and cover at the commencement ceremony if all degree requirements have been completed. If requirements have not been completed, students receive a cover at the ceremony; when requirements are completed and the degree conferred, the diploma is mailed to the address specified on the Application for Graduation, or can be picked up at the Registrar’s Office.

If students do not attend the ceremony, when all requirements are completed and the degree conferred, the diploma and cover is mailed to the address specified on the Application for Graduation, or can be picked up at the Registrar’s Office.

Diplomas are not released if there is a financial hold on the student account.

Diploma Dimensions

The dimensions of bachelor and master degree diplomas are 8 ½ inches by 11 inches. Doctoral diplomas are 16 inches by 20 inches.

Duplicate Diplomas

The cost for a duplicate diploma is $10.00* for each copy ordered, and requests may take up to 8 weeks to process (not including delivery time). Orders will not be processed if there is a financial hold on the student account.

Pacific University now partners with Parchment by using their online ordering system for transcript and duplicate diploma requests. Diplomas can be mailed or picked up in person, but not be faxed or emailed. If mailed, Pacific University is not responsible for diplomas lost or delayed in the mail.

*Effective October 1, the cost for a duplicate diploma will change to $25.00 for each copy ordered to be picked up at the Registrar’s Office, and $35.00 for each copy ordered to be mailed.

Ordering

The first time you enter the Parchment ordering system, whether for transcripts or a duplicate diploma, you need to set up an account, even if you enter through BoxerOnline. Be sure to continue to log in with the email address that you initially used; using a different email address will require you to create another account, and you will not be able to track past orders. Chrome works best.

Ordering through BoxerOnline

  • Using Chrome, Safari, Edge, or Internet Explorer, log in to BoxerOnline
  • Click on Transcript/Diploma Request
    • If you already were logged in through Pacific’s Single Sign-On, you will be taken into the ordering system.
    • If not, you will be taken to Pacific’s Single Sign-On page. Log in (again).
  • Create an account as requested the first time
  • You now are in the ordering system; make your selections and place your order
  • Orders cannot be changed after they’re placed. You can cancel an order prior to it being processed.
  • Orders may take up to 8 weeks to process (not including delivery time)
  • After your order has been processed, you will receive an email confirming that your document has been sent, which means it has been processed according to your order request (mailed or ready for pick-up)

Ordering Without a BoxerOnline Account

Canceling Orders

If you need to cancel an order, you may do so if it has not yet been processed. To cancel, email registrar@pacificu.edu from your Pacific email account or fax a request to 503-352-2950. Be sure to include your name and order number. Orders that have been processed cannot be canceled and a refund is not available.

Tracking Orders

Emails are sent to you:

  • When your order has been received
  • When your order has been processed
  • When your tracking number has been added to your order
  • If your order cannot be processed because of a financial or other hold

Additionally, you can log in to BoxerOnline, click on Transcript/Diploma Request then click on Order Status; or, go to Parchment via this link: Order Duplicate Diploma, log in and click on Order Status.
