Student Learning Outcomes

The business management concentration is designed for students pursuing a career in general business management in a variety of settings including for-profit and not-for-profit organizations, industry, and government. Business integration focuses on the cross integration of business functions with an emphasis on accounting, marketing, finance, and management as well as legal and ethical environment of business. The concentration also explores global business environments.

Successful graduates of the management concentration will be able to:

  1. Demonstrate and apply knowledge of the ethical, legal, and social, and global dimensions of business.
  2. Analyze and develop solutions for different managerial scenarios, supported by effective communication and integrated problem-solving.
  3. Understand and evaluate the importance of a diverse human capital working collaboratively to achieve organizations' goals

It is recommended that students seek out an internship or service-learning experience that will provide an opportunity to demonstrate the relevancy of foundational and theoretical knowledge of their academic major and to gain career-related experiences.
