WREB Restorative Review Course

Friday- Sunday| June 21-23, 2019

Course Description

This 20-hour continuing education course provides a review for candidates who are preparing to take the Western Regional Examining Board (WREB) Restorative Examination.  This course includes 4 hours of didactic review of dental anatomy and restorative procedures, followed by 16 hours of hands-on practice placing amalgam and composite restorations on typodonts.  Emphasis will be placed on developing self-assessment skills so that candidates can critically evaluate their own restorations.

WREB requires remediation after two (2) failures of the WREB Restorative Examination.  This continuing education course includes the didactic and clinical remediation required by WREB, has been deemed as an acceptable remediation program by the Oregon Board of Dentistry, and is given by a school accredited by the Commission on Dental Accreditation (CODA)

This continuing education course is intended for review purposes only.  It is not intended to fulfill the educational requirement for obtaining a Restorative Functions Endorsement (RFE) or Restorative Functions Certificate (RFC) in Oregon.

Please go to WREB for additional information or to register for an upcoming Restorative exam. Pacific University recommends no less than 4 weeks between finishing this course and taking the exam. This allows participants extended time to practice.

Course Format

This continuing education course consists of 2 hours of self-study completed by the candidate prior to the first day of the course, 2 hours of didactic instruction and 16 hours of hands-on practice placing amalgam and composite restorations on typodonts.
