Spring College Fair for High School Students

The Spring College Fair 2022 has officially concluded. This event will resume in next spring for high school students looking to explore options.


Pacific University Oregon and Linfield University will host our first Spring College Fairs in April 2022. Admissions representatives from institutions located all over Oregon and Washington will have a table set-up to meet with high schools students. Chat with the various universities to gather information about the application process, important deadlines and scholarships and more!

Registration Information:

Strivescan

High School Students and Families: We will be using StriveScan for this event! Click on the registration link and follow directions to set up an account. The StriveScan event can be found by selecting the event location (state: Oregon) and date (4/25/22 & 4/26/22). The event names are Pacific University Oregon and Linfield University respectively. Once you have registered, a unique barcode will be assigned to you. Make sure to have this barcode on hand during the college fair. Institutions will be scanning your barcode as you connect.

Colleges & Universities - Colleges and universities in Oregon and Washington are invited to register and attend. Out-of-state institutions will be put on a waiting list and may be invited as space is available, or for future fairs. Event Details for both nights:

StriveScan: Presenters will be using StriveScan throughout both events. Click on the registration link (above) and follow directions to set up an account. Refreshments:
We will not provide any refreshments for college representatives; however, there are refillable water bottle stations in each fair venue. We encourage you to bring a reusable water bottle. Additional information about local restaurants is below.
 
COVID Protocols:
Both fairs will follow institution guidelines, which are based on state (Oregon Health Authority) and federal (Centers for Disease Control and Prevention) recommendations. As such, there are no requirements for college representatives, students or parents/guests to be vaccinated or wear an approved face covering/mask. However, we encourage you to wear a face covering or take other measures as you prefer to do so. We will also encourage fair participants to do the same. Should a face covering requirement change, we will notify you in advance.
 
College Fair at Pacific University:
  • Location: Stoller Center
  • Directions to venue: Visitors can enter the lot through Sunset Drive or Main Street. See Campus Map for more information.
  • Arrival:
    • Admissions Counselors: Please plan to arrive no earlier than 4:30 p.m. Stoller Center will be open for access to the gym for users, but not available prior for the fair.
    • Visitors: The doors to the fair will open at 5:30 pm and will remain open until 7:30 pm.
  • On-campus food and bev: The campus University Center has our on-campus dining as well as our market place. Both locations are open for guests and visitors. Purchases can be paid for with your credit/debit card.
  • Nearby food and beverages: There are many small restaurants and cafes located near Main street and Pacific Avenue. Please see the list below for suggestions.
  • Parking: Parking Lot K & Lot M. No permits are required, but please do not park in the city lot adjacent to Parking Lot K. Parking attendants will be available to assist and guide you if needed.

College Fair at Linfield University:
  • Location: Upper Gym, Health Human Performance and Athletics Building (HHPA), 48 SW Linfield Avenue, McMinnville, OR 97128
  • Parking: No permits are required during the event, but please abide by posted signage regarding no or restricted parking areas. Parking at Linfield is currently constrained before 4:00 p.m. due to construction on our new W.M. Keck Science Complex; however, there are lots located on Linfield Avenue and Davis Street.
  • Directions to venue: Plan to enter the HHPA through the main entrance off Linfield Avenue. A registration table will be in front of the trophy cases and the Upper Gym is located to the left.
  • Arrival: Please plan to arrive no earlier than 4:30 p.m. The Upper Gym will be in use earlier in the day and access will not be provided until then.
  • Tables: Each college/university will have one, six foot table. Please plan to bring your table banner/cloth.
  • On-campus food and bev: The Linfield Starbucks is located in Riley Campus Center and serves all your favorites and takes your standard credit card. The Wildcat Express, located in Dillin Hall, also has some made to order and prepared food items. The Linfield Bookstore in Riley Campus Center also has some snacks.
  • Nearby food and bev: An Albertson’s grocery store and Starbucks are located within walking distance, as is a Great Harvest Bread.
  • Slightly further food and bev: If you get to town early, head to Third Street, McMinnville’s historic downtown for a variety of locally owned restaurants and coffee shops.
  • Lodging: If you need to spend the night in town, the Comfort Inn offers a Linfield discount (just mention you are visiting Linfield University when making a reservation or checking in). The Hotel Oregon, a McMenamins property, offers a more eclectic experience.
