Based on the thorough evaluation of completed applications, selected applicants are invited for an on-campus personal interview; virtual interviews may be available upon request. The interview is required and is a contributing factor in the admission decision. It allows the Audiology Admissions Committee to assess essential skills and traits, which may not be reflected in the application. Generally, three Audiology Interview Days for the upcoming Fall class are held in February and March on Pacific University’s Hillsboro Campus.
During the interview, consideration is given to knowledge of the profession, motivation toward a career in audiology, ability to think clearly and logically, professionalism, poise, self-confidence, team spirit, and interpersonal skills, among other traits. The Audiology Interview Day is an all-day event that is also designed to provide students with more information about the AuD program and the opportunities that exist for students at Pacific University.
