Student Learning Outcomes
The Management Business concentration is designed for students pursuing a career in general business management in a variety of settings including for profit and not-for-profit organizations, industry and government. Business integration focuses on the cross integration of business functions with emphasis on accounting, marketing, finance and management as well legal and ethical environment of business. The concentration also explores global business environments.
Successful graduates of the management concentration will be able to:
- Apply analytical and problem solving skills in the functional areas of accounting; marketing; finance and management.
- Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of the ethical, legal and social obligations and responsibilities of business.
- Apply ethical principles in the business environment with people of diverse ethnic, cultural, gender and other backgrounds.
- Communicate effectively.
- Apply the knowledge of business concepts and function in an integrated manner.
It is recommended that students seek out an internship or service learning experience that will provide an opportunity to demonstrate relevancy of foundational and theoretical knowledge of their academic major and to gain career related experiences.
