This year, the United States will mark the 80th anniversary of the attack on Pearl Harbor on Dec. 7.
During Study & Sip, we will explore the history of our two newest states from Pearl Harbor to statehood — 14 years later. The curriculum explores how World War II changed the territory and what it took to reach statehood after the war.
There are no experts expected in the virtual room during Study & Sip. At each session lifelong learners gather ready to discuss what they learned from the suggested syllabus, from life experience and from independent education.
All participants are expected to approach the conversation with care and to support one another as we explore subjects that may be new to us and are sometimes sensitive.
Participants are encouraged to stock up on a favorite beverage to enjoy during the discussion.
This virtual event is free, but advance registration is required.
