Special guests and Pacific University students and employees are cordially invited to join us in honoring the legacy of former U.S. Congressman Les AuCoin ’69, Hon. ’78.
Les AuCoin, one of Pacific’s most distinguished alumni, began his journey at Pacific University in 1960 before serving in the U.S. Army. Returning to Pacific, he earned his degree in journalism in 1969 and went on to a remarkable career in public service. His nine-term tenure as a U.S. Representative was marked by his dedication to environmental protection, Native American sovereignty, and human rights.
The dedication of Les AuCoin Hall launches the celebration of Pacific University’s 175th anniversary and the university’s commitment to its forward-facing mission of inspiring students who think, care, create, and pursue justice in the world.
We would be honored to have you with us for this historic occasion. Please register to attend by Monday, Sept. 16.
Optional donations will support the Les AuCoin Human Rights Lecture Series.
