Pacific University's Student Multicultural Center is proud to kick off Black History Month programming with a presentation by Sarah Hassouned on Displacement in the Age of Black Lives Matter: Understanding Gentrification in Portland.

Hassouned is an educator, doula and NE Portland native who has taught in Detroit, Portland and Ramallah, Palestine. Her classes focus on developing critical and interdisciplinary understanding of complex social issues to inform our interactions with the world we live in.
