The 2021 Global Humanities: Women in Philosophy speaker series presents Professor Monika Kirloskar-Steinbach in a virtual lecture at 10:30 a.m. Oct. 15. Kirloskar-Steinbach will discuss "Making Meaning of My Life in Academic Philosophy."

Professor Kirloskar-Steinbach is an endowed professor of humanities and professor of ancient, patristic and medieval philosophy at Vrije Universiteit, Amsterdam. She is the editor of Journal of World Philosophies and co-author of A Practice Guide to World Philosophies: Selves, Worlds, and Ways of Knowing. Her work engages the intersection between cross-cultural and political philosophy.

The Global Humanities: Women in Philosophy speaker series connects the Pacific community with women whose academic or artistic endeavors engage the discipline of philosophy, and who are living and working outside the United States. Dr. Kirloskar-Steinbach will be presenting from Amsterdam.
