Tualatin River National Wildlife Refuge is one of only a handful of urban national wildlife refuges across the country. Situated within the floodplain of the Tualatin River, the refuge supports some of the most abundant and varied wildlife in the watershed.
Over self-provided picnic lunches, guests will have the opportunity to learn more about this important local wildlife refuge from a Park Ranger.
Following lunch, guests will be invited to enjoy an optional hike on the River Trail, which takes visitors through a diversity of habitats, where they can see a variety of plant species and catch a glimpse of wildlife.
This event is free, but advance registration is required for planning purposes.
