Student Success Series Session Two: Exploring Student Motivation

How do we, as instructors, motivate our students? This is a question many of us grapple with, and is essential to fostering higher academic engagement among our students. This workshop will encourage you to reflect on your current pedagogical practices, provide an overview of a few motivational models, and create space to think critically about what strategies you can implement into your relationships with students. Lea will also share trends and themes coming from her academic coaching meetings, giving some insight into our current students’ needs. Please come prepared to share your thoughts and experiences, in this crucial conversation around supporting Pacific students.
