The Journalism Department is hosting a West African Speaker Series. Today's featured speaker is journalist Seth Boateng with MyJoyMedia.
During this series, three English-speaking African journalists will lead discussions and speak about the situation with COVID-19 in their respective countries, and how they and their newsrooms have adapted their routines to continue reporting in this era. Each two-hour session will begin with the journalists presenting facts and a sampling of some of their stories about the pandemic, followed by a question-and-answer period facilitated by journalism professor Jeslyn Lemke.
The speaker series was funded by a grant from the Elise Elliott Fund, which provides undergraduate enrichment programming and scholarships at Pacific University. The journalism department received $2,200 to fund the project.
