Appreciate the importance of communication and study typical speech, language and hearing processes across the life span.

The Communication Sciences and Disorders minor allows students to explore the professions of audiology and speech-language pathology through clinical observations of professionals and through coursework guided by experience professors. Coursework and clinical observation,includes speech and language development, clinical phonetics, anatomy and physiology of the speech mechanism, neuroanatomy and neurophysiology, speech science, audiologic (hearing) processes, audiology, and aural rehabilitation.
