Testing | COVID-19
Anyone who experiences COVID-19 symptoms should be tested. Students and employees who are ill can receive a COVID-19 test through the university’s Health Center. Please call ahead to make an appointment; do not walk into the health center if you are ill.
If you have been identified as a close contact of someone who tests positive for COVID-19, you should be tested. Fully vaccinated individuals should be tested 5-7 days after their most recent exposure. Those who are not fully vaccinated should be tested as soon as possible.
Students and employees who have an authorized COVID-19 vaccination exemption are tested weekly with self-tests provided through the university’s Health Center.
Pacific University offers self-tests, available to pick up at the Health Center.
Students, employees and campus guests who are not fully vaccinated may be asked to show proof of a negative test for participation in some university or external public events. Pacific University accepts the following self-tests for proof of a negative test:
- CareStart™ COVID-19 Antigen Home Test
- BD Veritor at-Home COVID-19 Digital Test Kit
- Quidel QuickVue at-Home OTC COVID-19 Test Kit
