Employee Assistance Program (EAP)

Please Note: Our Employee Assistance Program provider, formerly known as Cascade Centers, has changed its name to Canopy. The only thing that has changed is the name. Canopy still has all the same services, offered in exactly the same ways.

Your wellbeing isn't just about your physical health. It is a combination of physical, mental, emotional, social, spiritual and financial health.

Pacific University supports the comprehensive wellbeing of our employees with the Employee Assistance Program through Canopy. This free, confidential service helps you access a wide range of wellness and counseling resources to support you and your family through life's varied journeys - from moments of crisis and grief to phases of personal empowerment and career growth.

Canopy can also provide you with concierge services to help make day-to-day stresses a little easier. Are you looking for child or elder care in your area? Canopy can pre-screen facilities within a given area and assist you with information about ratings and availabilities.

The Employee Assistance Program also offers a comprehensive assistance platform that seamlessly uses technology, activity trackers, and game mechanics to turn common wellness goals—like drinking enough water or moving more—into motivating challenges that help people create healthier lifestyles.

Find information online or call Canopy at 800-433-2320.

PLEASE NOTE: Canopy is committed to creating a safe, inclusive and equitable society for all.

At the initial point of contact, when requesting counseling services, EAP intake counselors work with members to identify variables important to them to inform selection of a counselor in the network. The Employee Assistance Program is able to sort counselors by the following variables, which allow members to select a counselor who they feel most comfortable working with:

  • Clinical specialty; including expertise working with LGBTQ population, serving people with learning disabilities, experience with geriatrics, military veterans, etc.
  • Geographic location, including neighborhoods with diversity in SES
  • Accessibility of office location for those with mobility issues
  • Language spoken
  • Ethnicity
  • Gender

To learn more about diversity at Canopy, please review their strategies to promote equity.
