First Generation Support
Stay tuned for Fall 2023 events!
We are creating space for first-generation college students to come together and engage with peers who may have shared experiences. In this space individuals will be able to share, reflect, and explore their experiences attending a 4-year institution and receive support around unique challenges first-generation college students may encounter. Working toward a college degree and becoming a member of a college community is often very exciting. It can also bring about new challenges in terms of one’s emotional and mental wellbeing and in navigating new environments and relationships. Help cultivate a place to address together the experience of being one of the first in your family to attend college. We look forward to connecting with you!
*The definition of a first-generation college student varies, however, a broad definition is a student whose parent(s) have not completed a college degree and/or an individual whose family has little to no collegiate history.
