Master of Arts in Teaching Special Education

Master's Degree

Now is the time to earn your Master of Arts in Teaching (MAT) in Special Education. School districts are seeking qualified individuals who can successfully work with children with disabilities and their families.

Pacific University has created a hybrid program developed in collaboration with our partner school districts. Choose from programs based at either our Forest Grove or Eugene campuses, but connected with your community. Our cohort program offers online and face-to-face coursework across selected locations. Classes meet evenings or occasional weekends on our campus during the academic year, and summer courses meet during the day on campus. Practicum placements are coordinated in your local district to support learning from dedicated and experienced experts in special education.

The Forest Grove-based program starts in January, while the Eugene Campus-affiliated program starts in late August.
