Kevin Carr teaches science education courses as well as introductory astronomy. He is director of Pacific University's Woodburn Campus.

Professor; Undergraduate Program Coordinator (Forest Grove)

Dr. Mike Charles is a Professor and an Undergraduate Program Coordinator (Forest Grove) for Pacific University. He has a background in curriculum and instruction with an emphasis in educational media and technology and science & mathematics education. He taught in grades K-6 for 15 years in Phoenix, Arizona, working as a K-6 computer resource teacher for the final six years.


Catherine E. Kim is a specialist in TESOL (teaching English to speakers of other languages), second language acquisition, and bilingualism.

Associate Professor

Dr. Steve Rhine comes to Pacific University after serving as Professor of Education at Willamette University for 19 years. He received his doctorate from UCLA in Administration, Curriculum and Teaching Studies. Before entering teacher education he taught high school mathematics and was a counselor in Los Angeles, California.
