Share music with others by starting your pathway to teaching while expanding your own skills.

Music education students gain a solid academic foundation built upon studies in music theory and analysis, music history and performance opportunities in both classical and jazz idioms. They receive individualized performance instruction with faculty members and adjunct instructors. The program covers music education materials, technology, philosophy, curriculum planning and classroom management.

The knowledge and skills you gained are embedded within the context of a liberal arts education which will mold students into a well-rounded individuals with a global vision of today's world and its future.

Students in the program have a choice to either earn a Bachelor of Music Education, which leads to an Oregon teaching license within four years or earn a Bachelor of Arts in Music Education and continue in Pacific’s master of arts in teaching program to pursue licensure within six years.
