National Conference on Race and Ethnicity in American Higher Education (NCORE) Conference
May 28 - June 1, 2019
Portland, Oregon

The NCORE conference series constitutes the leading and most comprehensive national forum on issues of race and ethnicity in American higher education. The conference focuses on the complex task of creating and sustaining comprehensive institutional change designed to improve racial and ethnic relations on campus and to expand opportunities for educational access and success by culturally diverse, traditionally underrepresented populations.

NCORE is designed to provide a significant forum for discussion, critical dialogue, and exchange of information as institutions search for effective strategies to enhance access, social development, education, positive communication, and cross-cultural understanding in culturally diverse settings. Dining Meal Plans Available to Staff

  • Economy Plans are a great option for anyone who eats in The Grove 1 to 3 times a week.
  • The cost of a Block Meal in one of our economy plans is as low as $6.00 per meal (as high as $6.25).  That is for an all-you-care-to-eat meal in the dining hall that would otherwise cost $7.50 (lunch) at the door.
  • Meal Plans can be purchased online if the faculty or staff member has previously had an account set up.  Accounts can be set up by Ben Magnuson (503.352.2217) in Washburne Hall room 105.

Mail Services Ends Personal Package Processing

Due to increased demand for Mail Services throughout the university from our growing student body and departments, personal, non-university related parcels (packages) addressed to university employees at the Forest Grove and Hillsboro campuses will no longer be accepted by Mail Services. Additionally, Mail Services will no longer process personal parcels for outward bound pickup and shipping that are not related to university business. Please immediately update your shipping preferences on any personal accounts you have which may include a university delivery address.

Self-stamped letters will still be accepted by Mail Services for pickup by the U.S. Postal Service, but employees are asked to have all personal mail, including letters and periodicals, mailed to their home residence or personal post office box.

If you have any questions or concerns, please email
